Wow...

I just got the email from Meredith and can't believe all the fun! Those dotted swiss Bazzill papers are to die for! You won't want to miss out on them!

AND... who else is so stoked about this weekend's Scrap Pink? It is going to be so much fun! The prizes are spectacular! I can't wait to hang out with women who actually GET it!

While Ike was busy destroying homes, business, and moral... I decided to NOT let it destroy my mojo and headed on into the store after the storm. Have you SEEN that we have 12X12 acrylic pieces! I had so much fun creating layouts with these! And it is so easy to do! Check these out and then run to the store to get your own pieces!

A Day in the Life:
Product used: Clear snaps acrylic, Sandylion Kelly Panacci patterned papers and chipboard pieces, KI Memories "7" (found in Accent Alley) and Sakura gel pens.

K3:

Product used: Clear Scraps acrylic piece, Bazzill stitches templates and threads, Bazzill CS, and Making Memories "Back to School" metal chip.

Hurry on in and create your own. We would love to see what you do with it! Email us and we will post your creation right here on the blog!

Ike, Ike Baby

Hello friends.
I hope all of you survived the hurricane with minimal damage and possibly power? If you are still without power, we are praying for you. The store has some water damage but it could have been much worse. We are working diligently to get things back to normal. Fortunately, we have not lost any product!

We certainly aren't looking very cute with damaged ceiling tiles and a warping floor but we are here non the less. Please call the store to see when we are open. As for today, I will be here until about 1:00 pm. Wednesday, we will run hours from 10 am - 1 pm (possibly longer if insurance and landlord doesn't ask us to close for repair reasons).

If all goes well, we will be open on Thursday from 10 am - 6 pm and on Friday from 10 am - 8 pm. As of now, we will still hold our Recipe Swap Social Saturday morning from 10 - 11 am. If a number of people cancel, we will move the date. The beginners layout class from 1 - 2:30 will still be held. Sunday, Sept. 21 will be our first monthly Kids Crop Club. We are adjusting the weekend so as to accomodate ScrapPink next weekend!

There are still a few spots available and the deal is even sweeter. $75 will get you Friday night crop from 6 pm - 2 am; Saturday crop from 8 am - 6 pm; and Sunday crop from noon - 4; Pappasito's dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday; T-shirt; goody bag and entry into our door prize drawings. Don't forget the most important part....a portion of the proceeds goes to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation!

Call for more information.
Hope all of you are safe. We look forward to hearing how you "weathered" the storm.

Lots of Stuff

Wow, can you believe we are hearing about the 6th huricane of the season. Let's just hope and pray it doesn't spoil all our weekend fun! This weekend, we celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the store. What a roller coaster ride it has been. We hope you drop by to celebrate with us Friday evening or Saturday and show your support not only for the store but also for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. During our first annual ScrapPink event, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the foundation. There are just a couple spots left for the actual crop...call the store today if you are interested.

As far as the rest of the fall goes, we have some great classes lined up! On Sat., Sept. 27 from 1-3 pm, attendees will have the chance to make a Jacob's Ladder book. This is an advanced class and space is limited. While the picture attached does not represent the actual papers being used, it does give you an idea of how many wonderful embellishments and techniques you will get to expreience.

The Kid's Crop Club is beginning this month. This is a great opportunity for you to work on your scrapping projects with your children and if your not sure WHAT to do with them, we will help give you ideas. The event is to be held the last Sunday of each month from noon - 4 pm; cost is just $5 per child (adults with children are free); snacks are provided; sign up early as space is limited. They even get to experience a MAKE-N-TAKE!

Don't forget to stop by Friday between 6 and 9 pm and Saturday between 10 am and 6 pm to enjoy a slice of celebration cake! Hope to see you there :)

Back to School

School's back in session ~ aren't you glad? Boy, I am! Love my kids, but three ENTIRE months at home with nothing specific to do kept me anxious and pretty beat by the end of the day. So, here I am... at the store...NO kids! whoo hoo! Just swept the floor and now I'm pricing these cute paper flowers from Bazzill; great colors!

Whew! What a fun day! It went by so fast! Thought I'd get back to blogging; maybe tomorrow.

By the way, this is my first attempt. How am I doing?

Summer Memories Kids Workshop

Here is a picture of the supplies we will be using for this class. It is generic summer so boys and girls are welcome to join. We only have a few spaces left so sign up now!

We're BACK

Whew - what a whirlwind of the windy city! We had a great time and saw fun new "stuff". We are still waiting to hear who the big winner of the bra contest is. There were only 9 entries and I must say ours was looking pretty cool hanging on the show floor for all to see.

Can you believe it, new products began arriving on Tuesday first thing in the morning. Stop by to check out the new Graphic 45 lines. We are bringing in a number of other new vendors and products. As we get pictures up loaded of new products, we will add them to the blog. There are many new things to look forward to including Best Creations, Luxe, Robin's Nest, Black Market, Rusty Pickle, Piggy Tales, and many, many more :)

Glad to be back and ready to get some work done!
Have a great day!
